Job Description/Specification:
We need a dedicated senior BA who owns business analysis and delivery follow-up end-to-end so engineering leadership can focus on strategy. You will be the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering, run daily standups for assigned squads, and produce competitor / market benchmarks any time we enhance an existing solution or scope a new one.
What you'll do
Business analysis
• Translate business needs into clear, written requirements: user stories with acceptance criteria, edge cases, non-functional needs, success metrics.
• Map current-state versus future-state user journeys for any change touching a customer flow (browse → item creation → payment → moderation → publish, across product areas).
• Maintain a living product backlog per product area, prioritised with Product.
• Author functional specs that designers and engineers can build from without re-asking the same questions.
Task management & delivery follow-up
• Run the daily check-in with assigned engineering squads — what shipped yesterday, what's blocked, what's next.
• Track every active task across Azure DevOps work items, sprint boards, PRs, and the actual deployed state on QA / prod. Catch tasks that stall silently.
• Maintain a single dashboard view of progress per product area that leadership can read in 60 seconds.
• Surface blockers fast — to the right person, with enough context that they can act today.
• Drive sprint retrospectives and write up actions with owners.
Benchmarking & market research
• Whenever we plan a new feature or enhance an existing one, produce a benchmark deliverable: 3–5 competitor or inspiration products (regional + global where relevant), screenshots / flow recordings, strengths / weaknesses, missed opportunities, a clear recommendation — what we should match, beat, or skip.
• Run periodic competitor sweeps — pricing models, monetisation mechanics, new features they ship.
• Bring market intelligence into product decisions before we write the first user story.
Must-have experience
• 6+ years as a BA / Product BA in software product companies (not only IT services consultancies).
• Excellent written English — your PRDs / spec docs are how the company sees you.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps (work items, sprint boards, backlogs) or Jira at a power-user level.
• Replit — comfortable building quick interactive prototypes, sandboxes, or proof-of-concepts on Replit to validate ideas with stakeholders before engineering invests in them. Familiarity with Replit Agent / AI features is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading API specifications and database schemas — you are not a developer, but you should be able to discuss data flow with engineers without an interpreter.
• Demonstrable benchmarking output — bring 2–3 examples of competitive analyses you have authored.
• Stakeholder management across non-technical (sales, ops, marketing) and technical audiences.
Nice to have
• Classifieds / marketplaces / multi-sided platform background.
• Regional GCC market knowledge.
• Basic SQL / Power BI / dashboarding so you can pull your own numbers.
• Agile / Scrum certification.
• Familiarity with other rapid prototyping tools (Bolt, Lovable, v0, Cursor) in addition to Replit.
