Job Description/Specification:

Mission
To ensure effective execution of all home office commissioning-related activities, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, testing, training, operation, and final handover of the FPSO hull and systems to the client.
All activities must be delivered in compliance with project requirements for safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Documentation Control
- Review contractual and technical project documentation
- Ensure commissioning, start-up, training, and operation requirements are fully integrated into engineering deliverables
- Review and validate operating manuals and performance test procedures
- Review 3D model compliance for accessibility, operability, and commissioning requirements
Planning & Execution Management
- Participate in project planning and scheduling activities
- Develop and maintain commissioning, pre-commissioning, start-up, testing, training, and handover execution plans
- Define commissioning systems, priorities, and handover sequencing
- Ensure preparation of integrated commissioning schedules, including logistics and mobilisation planning
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Review licensor and vendor schedules for commissioning-related activities
- Support procurement and subcontracting teams in defining scopes of work
- Assist in defining commissioning spare parts and consumables requirements
- Ensure alignment between vendor deliverables and commissioning execution strategy
HSE & Compliance
- Support development of the project HSE plan for commissioning activities
- Ensure HSE requirements are embedded in pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures
- Participate in HAZOP reviews where required
- Support compliance with international maritime and offshore regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS Code, Classification Society rules)
Systems & Performance Assurance
- Define commissioning systems boundaries and turnover priorities
- Verify KPIs during home office engineering phase
- Ensure readiness for test run and performance testing activities
- Support preparation for start-up and operational readiness activities
Procurement & Technical Support
- Ensure preparation and review of technical requisitions and evaluations within commissioning scope
- Support engineering teams in resolving commissioning-related technical issues
- Ensure alignment of procurement packages with commissioning requirements
Offshore / Operations Readiness
- Ensure operability and maintainability considerations are incorporated into design
- Support vessel readiness for operational phase compliance with international regulations
- Ensure smooth transition from construction to commissioning and operations phases
Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience in FPSO / offshore commissioning or marine systems commissioning
- Proven background in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases
- Experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM offshore energy projects
- Strong understanding of vendor coordination and system completion processes
- Knowledge of offshore regulatory frameworks (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, Class rules)
- Strong planning, coordination, and technical review capability
- Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial)
