Based in Ras Al Khaimah, this full-time position focuses on maintaining safe working conditions across projects involving sewerage and stormwater systems, flood alleviation, wastewater networks, water distribution networks, pumping stations, recycling plants, and rehabilitation works.

The HSE professional will oversee site safety, health, and environmental management while coordinating with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, clients, and relevant authorities. The role includes preparing safety plans, conducting site inspections and inductions, managing incident investigations, and monitoring compliance with applicable HSE requirements.

Candidates should have at least five years of relevant infrastructure construction experience, particularly in drainage, wastewater, and rehabilitation projects. A NEBOSH IGC Level 3 qualification and knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi HSE regulations are mandatory.

The HSE professional will attend project planning meetings and regular site, technical, and progress meetings. They will also oversee the reporting and investigation of project-related incidents, helping identify causes and support appropriate corrective actions.

Preparing technical reports on HSE matters and presenting findings to different groups of decision-makers are also important responsibilities.

Client and Project Team Coordination

The role requires regular communication with internal and external clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. The successful candidate should be able to build professional relationships, communicate safety expectations clearly, and maintain a strong safety culture across the project.

The position also involves following the Resident Engineer's reasonable instructions and completing work in line with Stantec's Core Values, Quality Systems, and Project Quality Procedures.
