Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways is building a talent pool for future CAMO Supply Chain opportunities within its Technical Department. The role focuses on transactional supply chain activities that support aircraft maintenance by sourcing and procuring aircraft spares, components, and specialised tools.
The CAMO Supply Chain Officer acts as a key point of contact between Supply Chain and technical maintenance teams, helping ensure that required materials are purchased or obtained through loan and exchange arrangements at competitive prices and within acceptable delivery timelines.
This opportunity may suit candidates with experience in procurement, supply chain coordination, or aviation materials management. Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Materials Procurement
The successful candidate will process Aircraft Materials Requisitions (AMRs) and identify suitable sources for required materials.
Key duties include:

Reviewing price catalogues and requesting quotations from approved suppliers.

Negotiating competitive prices and minimum delivery lead times.

Sourcing aircraft parts through purchase, loan, or exchange arrangements.

Providing supplier-selection input based on price, delivery timelines, and vendor location.

Ensuring shelf-life items are sourced from fresh stock with at least 80% of their shelf life remaining.
Order Preparation and Approval
The role involves preparing and coordinating different types of supply chain orders.
Responsibilities include:

Preparing Purchase Orders, Exchange Orders, and Loan Orders.

Coordinating with Technical Materials Planning, MOCC, Engineering, Technical Records, Warranty, Logistics, and Maintenance.

Applying the appropriate general ledger (GL) and cost element (CE) codes, conditions, and parameters.

Obtaining the correct Delegation of Authority (DOA) approval based on the total order value.

Releasing approved orders to the relevant authorised suppliers.
Supplier Follow-Up and Delivery Control
The CAMO Supply Chain Officer will monitor supplier responses and order progress to support timely aircraft maintenance.
Duties include:

Obtaining supplier order acknowledgements within seven days of order release.

Following up regularly on outstanding orders.

Monitoring overdue orders and ensuring they do not exceed 5% overall.

Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to address supply delays and support maintenance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet one of the following education and experience pathways:

High school, vocational, or diploma qualification (relevant to the role) with at least 3 years of job-related experience; or

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
Candidates should also have:

Good knowledge of computer systems.

Ability to understand parts certification, technical publications, vendor manuals, and TPM.

Familiarity with EASA, FAA, and QCAA regulations.

Strong communication and supplier follow-up skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Experience in aviation procurement, aircraft materials, or technical supply chain operations would be relevant to the role.
