Job Description/Specification:
Command Post is seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support a major client engagement in Doha, Qatar. This full-time, on-site and client-facing opportunity is suited to professionals with practical experience in data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
The role focuses on turning data governance policies and frameworks into practical business processes that can be implemented, monitored, and maintained across an organisation. Data Lineage and Data Quality
An important part of the position involves documenting end-to-end data lineage across applications, databases, interfaces, reporting systems, analytics platforms, and third-party integrations.
The consultant will define data quality rules, KPIs, thresholds, and controls. They will also monitor data quality issues, investigate root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and track remediation until completion.
Compliance, Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
The role requires coordination with security, privacy, compliance, and legal teams to support data classification, retention, privacy, access control, and data lifecycle requirements.
The consultant will facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews, translate business needs into practical governance deliverables, and prepare dashboards and management reports. Supporting documentation and evidence must also be maintained for assurance and audit activities.
Training and practical guidance will help encourage governance adoption across the organisation.
