A wedding and events company in Doha is seeking a creative, experienced, and detail-oriented Indian Wedding Specialist to join its team on a full-time basis.

This role combines wedding planning, décor design, creative conceptualisation, and event production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience organising Indian weddings, with a strong background in luxury décor, cultural traditions, and the execution of large-scale, multi-day celebrations.

The successful candidate will transform client ideas into memorable wedding experiences, from elaborate mandap designs and floral installations to themed Mehendi celebrations, vibrant Sangeet nights, and elegant wedding receptions.

Key Responsibilities

Wedding Planning and Event Management

The Indian Wedding Specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of wedding celebrations, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and reflects the client's vision.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and managing multi-day Indian weddings and related celebrations.

• Coordinating functions such as Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, Baraat, wedding ceremonies, and receptions.

• Understanding Indian wedding traditions, regional customs, and cultural requirements.

• Consulting with clients to understand their preferences, themes, budgets, and expectations.

• Managing event timelines, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.

Wedding Décor and Creative Conceptualisation

A strong décor background is essential for this position. The specialist will develop creative concepts and oversee their practical implementation.

Key duties include:

• Creating wedding themes, décor concepts, mood boards, and creative presentations.

• Designing luxurious mandaps, wedding stages, entrance installations, floral arrangements, and venue transformations.

• Applying traditional Indian, contemporary, royal, and luxury décor styles.

• Working with décor production teams, florists, fabricators, lighting specialists, and technical vendors.

• Supervising décor installation, styling, finishing, and dismantling.

• Recommending suitable materials, colour palettes, floral combinations, lighting concepts, and decorative elements.

• Translating client briefs and visual references into practical and visually impressive designs.

Vendor and Production Management

The role requires strong coordination and negotiation skills to manage suppliers and production teams effectively.

Responsibilities include:

• Sourcing and coordinating wedding décor suppliers and specialist vendors.

• Negotiating vendor quotations and maintaining industry relationships.

• Managing procurement, production budgets, and project timelines.

• Supervising on-site teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

• Maintaining relationships with professionals in the Indian wedding industry.

Client Management and Budgeting

The specialist will provide professional client support throughout the planning and execution process.

Duties include:

• Presenting wedding concepts, décor proposals, and creative solutions.

• Preparing detailed budgets, décor cost estimates, and execution plans.

• Balancing client expectations with budget efficiency.

• Delivering attentive customer service and maintaining clear communication.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in Indian wedding planning, wedding décor, or luxury wedding production.

• Proven experience managing large-scale Indian weddings and multi-day celebrations.

• Strong practical experience in décor design, conceptualisation, and execution.

• Excellent understanding of Indian wedding traditions, customs, and ceremonial requirements.

• Experience working with decorators, floral designers, fabricators, and production vendors.

• Ability to develop creative concepts, mood boards, presentations, and décor proposals.

• Knowledge of wedding production materials, installation techniques, and venue styling.

• Strong organisational, budgeting, negotiation, and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and client presentation abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple vendors and production teams under tight deadlines.

Previous experience in luxury or destination weddings is a significant advantage. Experience in Qatar, the GCC, or the Indian luxury wedding market is also highly valued, along with an established network of wedding industry contacts.
