Job Description/Specification:
Le Méridien, part of Marriott International, is seeking a Recreation Attendant to support its leisure and recreational facilities. The role focuses on helping guests enjoy a safe, relaxing, and memorable experience while using the hotel's recreation facilities and participating in organised activities.

Key Responsibilities
The Recreation Attendant will support daily recreational operations through responsibilities such as:

Providing guests with information about recreation facilities, including swimming pools, beaches, fitness centres, entertainment zones, game rooms, and children's activity centres.

Encouraging guests to participate in recreational activities and assisting with registrations and scheduling.

Creating a fun, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere for guests and members.

Explaining and promoting facility rules and safety regulations.

Monitoring guest activities and responding appropriately to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.

Identifying situations where guests may be unable to participate safely and informing the supervisor or manager.

Providing initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.

Supporting private functions, group activities, and events held within recreation facilities.

Processing payments for equipment rentals, activities, facility bookings, and retail purchases.

Providing cashier services when assigned to facilities with point-of-sale transactions.

Cleaning and maintaining recreational areas, equipment, and supplies.

Inspecting equipment and reporting defects or unsafe conditions.

Reporting accidents, injuries, and workplace hazards to management.
Qualifications and Experience

The position involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Duties may also require lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, handling heavier items with assistance, climbing stairs, moving across uneven or slippery surfaces, and working in narrow or elevated spaces.
Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are useful for recording work-related information and processing customer payments.
