Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced appliance maintenance professional to oversee maintenance and repair activities across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
Appliance Inspections and Preventive Maintenance
The Appliance Maintenance Supervisor will conduct periodic inspections at assigned facilities to assess appliance conditions and identify maintenance requirements. Responsibilities include preparing inspection reports, diagnosing problems, and initiating appropriate corrective actions to extend equipment lifespan and improve operational reliability.
The employee must ensure that appliances are maintained according to established standards and recognised maintenance practices.
Maintenance Requests and Work Completion
The role requires close monitoring of pending appliance maintenance requests and regular updates to the maintenance system based on feedback from on-site teams. The supervisor will inspect completed maintenance work to confirm that it meets the agreed scope and quality requirements before signing off on completion certificates.
Service requests must be reviewed to determine whether repairs can be handled by in-house resources or require other arrangements. The supervisor will establish priorities and timelines, communicate expected completion dates to customers, and coordinate the execution of the work.
Portable Appliance Testing and Emergency Response
The successful candidate will prepare and follow up on the Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) schedule. This includes coordinating testing activities and monitoring progress to ensure that the planned work is completed.
The role also requires availability to respond to emergency situations and major maintenance issues on a 24/7 basis. Applicants should therefore be comfortable working in a maintenance environment where urgent operational needs may require a prompt response.
Contractor and Team Coordination
The supervisor will oversee contracted staff assigned to maintenance projects, allocate work, and review progress to ensure tasks are completed as required.
People management and basic leadership skills are important for coordinating technicians, monitoring performance, and maintaining consistent service standards across multiple locations.
Labour, Materials, and Record Management
Planning maintenance work involves ensuring that the necessary labour, materials, tools, and equipment are available for both scheduled and unscheduled repairs. The supervisor will provide information about material requirements to the immediate superior and technical document specialist.
Daily records must be maintained for manpower, material consumption, handy stock, tools, and equipment usage. Accurate documentation supports cost control, resource planning, and maintenance reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

A bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
