Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Guest Relations and Butler Operations
The supervisor will oversee the daily activities of the Guest Relations and Butler teams, ensuring that operational tasks are completed efficiently and that service remains consistent across shifts.
Key duties include:

Conducting daily team briefings and shift handovers.
-
Allocating tasks and coordinating lobby coverage.

Ensuring suitable staffing levels and shift coverage.
-
Supporting staff scheduling and annual leave planning.
-
Coaching team members and mentoring new associates.
-
Maintaining grooming standards and team engagement.

Acting as the first point of escalation for operational challenges.
2. Deliver Personalized Guest Experiences
A major responsibility is ensuring that VIP, repeat and long-stay guests receive attentive and personalized service throughout their stay.
The supervisor will personally welcome selected guests, verify preferences recorded in the Opera property management system and confirm that arrivals are properly prepared. This includes checking room setups and amenities before arrival and monitoring Guest Relations assignments and Butler itineraries.
The role also requires following up on guest requests, resolving service issues and ensuring that any service failures are addressed promptly.
3. Supervise Butler Service Standards
The successful candidate will guide Butlers in anticipating guest needs and delivering personalized assistance. This includes reviewing task completion, monitoring communication between departments and ensuring that individual guest requirements are handled effectively.
Strong coordination is important to ensure that guest requests, room arrangements and service commitments are followed through without unnecessary delays.
4. Maintain Luxury Quality and Brand Standards
The position requires monitoring compliance with Rosewood standards and the quality expectations associated with Forbes Travel Guide and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA).
Responsibilities include inspecting VIP arrivals and public areas, reviewing guest feedback, following up on service issues and ensuring consistent service delivery across all shifts.
The supervisor must also ensure that operational procedures are followed and that identified service gaps lead to appropriate corrective action.
5. Train and Develop Team Members
Staff development is an important part of the role. The supervisor will conduct departmental training sessions, support training plans and monitor completion of mandatory training requirements.
Through regular coaching and performance observations, the successful candidate will help associates improve their skills and support the development of future supervisors.
Additional duties include assisting with appraisals and probation reviews, addressing underperformance and recognizing employees who demonstrate strong results.
6. Manage Communication and Administration
The role involves maintaining clear communication across hotel departments and participating in operational meetings. Accurate shift handovers and communication of updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) are essential.
Administrative responsibilities include reviewing guest profiles, ensuring preferences are recorded correctly in Opera, monitoring departmental traces and reviewing operational reports.
7. Support Commercial and Operational Performance
The supervisor will promote appropriate upselling opportunities and encourage guests to use the hotel's restaurants and other outlets. Monitoring amenity consumption and team productivity will also help support efficient operations.
All duties must be carried out in line with Rosewood policies, confidentiality requirements, health and safety procedures and professional grooming standards.
Qualifications and Experience
The supplied job description does not specify mandatory educational qualifications, a minimum number of years of experience or required certifications.
However, the responsibilities indicate that relevant experience in luxury hospitality, Guest Relations, Butler services or hotel front office operations would be valuable.
