Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced technical professional for an aircraft maintenance position in Doha, Qatar. Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Inspections
The role involves inspecting aircraft components and systems to identify defects, assess condition, and confirm that maintenance work meets the required quality and performance standards.

Examining engines and aircraft components for cracks, breaks, leaks, and other defects.

Servicing equipment by cleaning screens, lubricating moving parts, and checking braking systems.

Component Repair and Replacement
The successful candidate will assist with repairing, replacing, rebuilding, and installing aircraft components according to approved procedures.
Tasks may include working with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems. The position also involves repairing aircraft structures and functional components, including relevant wing, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic assemblies.
Other duties may include removing and installing aircraft engines using suitable lifting or handling equipment, such as hoists or forklift trucks, where authorised and required.
The technician must determine suitable repair or replacement methods by referring to approved maintenance documentation and assessing the condition of the affected components.
System Testing and Fault Diagnosis
The role requires practical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical problems affecting aircraft systems and components.
Responsibilities include testing engine and system operation, using appropriate diagnostic equipment, and recognising unusual engine sounds or operating conditions that may indicate a malfunction.
The employee will also support technical solutions for problems associated with line maintenance. Where required, aircraft structures, systems, or components may need modification in accordance with approved drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.
All work must follow the applicable company and customer procedures and the maintenance data supplied for the task.
Operational Support and Teamwork
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties under supervisory direction and support the wider engineering team in meeting operational requirements.
