Saipem is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Expeditor to support supply chain activities by ensuring materials, equipment, documentation, and vendor deliverables are provided on time and according to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Purchase Orders and contractual documents to identify discrepancies and prevent potential delays.
- Liaise with vendors to confirm receipt and understanding of Purchase Orders.
- Monitor supplier schedules across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and shipping phases.
- Track material and equipment delivery progress and provide timely status updates.
- Coordinate between suppliers and internal project teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate potential delivery delays.
- Ensure shipping documentation is complete and available for transportation activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within SAP and other company systems.
- Monitor goods receipts, milestone achievements, and delivery forecasts.
- Support contract administration, vendor claims, change requests, and delay assessments.
- Evaluate supplier performance and provide vendor feedback in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities when required.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in project expediting, procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience within the construction, manufacturing, energy, or oil and gas industries is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of supplier management and procurement processes.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory management principles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze procurement and inventory data and generate accurate reports.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, material tracking, and vendor management processes.
