We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join a leading construction team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis for high-rise building and tower projects, ensuring timely project delivery and effective resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions to mitigate schedule impacts.
- Develop manpower plans and resource forecasts.
- Support the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis reports.
- Track project milestones and ensure activities remain aligned with approved timelines.
- Assist in project controls, scheduling reviews, and performance reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience in construction projects.
- Proven experience working on high-rise buildings and tower developments.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Experience in:
- Baseline schedule development
- Progress monitoring and reporting
- Delay analysis
- Recovery planning
- Resource planning and forecasting
- Good understanding of construction methodologies and project control principles.
- Previous experience in Qatar is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
