Emerson is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Measurement Solutions & Systems (MSS) to lead the execution and delivery of complex measurement and automation projects across the Middle East and Africa region. This role is responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle, from project award through final close-out, while ensuring technical excellence, commercial success, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects from order booking to project completion and close-out.
- Review commercial contracts, project costs, payment terms, and customer requirements during project handover.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Customers, Local Business Partners, and Engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead technical and commercial communications with customers and stakeholders.
- Supervise multidisciplinary project teams across regional and global engineering centers.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, and overall financial performance.
- Develop project schedules, track milestones, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Evaluate and monitor vendors and subcontractors throughout project execution.
- Review engineering deliverables, technical specifications, datasheets, and project documentation.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), customer inspections, and project approval activities.
- Support commissioning and site execution teams when required.
- Ensure adherence to Trade Compliance, Quality Assurance, and HSE standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Project Engineering and/or Project Management.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Metering Systems
- Bi-directional and Compact Provers
- Gas & Liquid Analyzers
- Sampling Systems
- Gas Chromatographs
- Familiarity with metrology requirements and industry standards across the Middle East and Africa.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, ERP, and business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- MBA qualification.
- Experience preparing and reviewing project documents including:
- Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
- FAT Procedures
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
- Operations & Maintenance Manuals (O&M)
- Experience managing large-scale international projects within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Process Automation, or Industrial sectors.
