An opportunity is available for an experienced Inspector – Coating to support coating and painting inspection activities within the oil and gas sector in Qatar. The role focuses on ensuring that surface preparation, coating application and inspection testing meet project specifications, international standards and client quality requirements.

About the Role
The Inspector – Coating will monitor coating activities, verify inspection results, review contractor documentation and identify quality issues before they affect project acceptance. The successful candidate will work with contractors, clients and project teams to maintain coating quality and ensure that inspection activities follow applicable health, safety and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation, painting and coating activities to confirm compliance with approved specifications.
- Verify environmental conditions before and during coating application, including humidity and dew point.
- Conduct and witness coating inspection tests, including:
- Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurements.
- Wet Film Thickness (WFT) measurements.
- Surface profile measurement.
- Adhesion testing.
- Holiday and pinhole detection.
- Dew point and humidity checks.
- Review contractor coating procedures, inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and relevant standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and project teams to resolve coating quality concerns.
- Ensure inspection work is performed in accordance with applicable HSE requirements.
