We are looking for an experienced Freighter Load Control Officer to join a leading air cargo operation and support centralized weight and balance functions across a global freighter network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient freighter operations through the preparation of load plans, load sheets, and cargo loading strategies. This role plays a critical part in maximizing payload utilization while maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare load plans and load sheets for freighter aircraft operations.
- Optimize cargo distribution and aircraft loading configurations to maximize payload efficiency.
- Serve as the operational focal point for weight and balance activities during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate with airport stations, operational teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate loading and payload information.
- Ensure dangerous goods, special cargo requirements, and aircraft loading restrictions are considered during load planning.
- Monitor compliance with weight and balance regulations and operational procedures.
- Support safe and efficient aircraft turnaround and cargo operations.
- Verify aircraft loading configurations meet safety, security, and performance requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within load control and cargo operations.
- Assist in resolving operational issues related to loading, payload, and weight distribution.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in load control, weight and balance, or cargo operations.
- At least 3 years of centralized load control experience on wide-body aircraft.
- Experience in freighter operations and cargo handling environments.
- Experience working with operational control centers or airline load planning teams is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Weight and Balance Certification on:
- Wide-body freighter aircraft
- Wide-body passenger aircraft
- Narrow-body passenger aircraft
- Valid Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Certification:
- CAT 10
- CAT 6
- Or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of aircraft loading principles and operational constraints.
- Strong understanding of cargo and freighter operations.
