Swan Global Consulting To be discussed

Job Description/Specification:

Swan Global is establishing a dedicated Corporate Leasing & Mobility Business Unit focused on vehicle leasing, fleet management, and integrated mobility solutions for government, semi-government, and private-sector organizations across Qatar.

This is a business-building leadership position, rather than a traditional fleet operations role. The successful executive will have end-to-end responsibility for developing the business strategy, generating corporate sales, managing operations, building strategic partnerships, and delivering the unit's financial and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall growth, development, and profitability of the Corporate Leasing & Mobility Business Unit.
  • Develop and execute the business strategy and Go-to-Market plan for the new vertical.
  • Identify and secure long-term corporate vehicle leasing and fleet management contracts.
  • Build relationships with government, semi-government, and private-sector organizations across Qatar.
  • Identify relevant tenders and lead bid strategy, proposals, commercial negotiations, and procurement processes.
  • Develop business opportunities across Oil & Gas, EPC, Construction, Aviation, Logistics, Healthcare, Hospitality, and other corporate sectors.
  • Oversee fleet procurement, vehicle financing, registration, insurance, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead sales, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Establish business processes, governance frameworks, KPIs, and performance-management systems.
  • Own the Business Unit's P&L, budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions, vehicle suppliers, insurance providers, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive Management, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the vehicle rental and leasing industry.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience within Qatar.
  • The job poster specifically requires 5+ years of vehicle leasing experience.
  • Proven experience building, managing, or scaling a vehicle leasing or mobility business.
  • Strong business development, sales, and commercial leadership experience.
  • Proven P&L ownership and broader business-management experience.
  • Experience leading both commercial and operational functions.
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatar's corporate vehicle leasing market.
  • Understanding of fleet financing, vehicle lifecycle management, and mobility solutions.
  • Experience with government and private-sector tendering and procurement processes.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is aimed at a senior commercial leader who understands the vehicle leasing and mobility business from both the commercial and operational sides.

The strongest profile would combine substantial leasing or rental-industry experience with proven business-development capability. This is not simply a position for someone who can manage an existing fleet. The role requires someone who can establish a new business vertical, identify customers, win contracts, build the supporting organization, and take responsibility for financial performance.

Professionals who already understand Qatar's corporate leasing market and have established relationships across government, semi-government, or major private-sector organizations may find their experience particularly relevant.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

Key capabilities include:

  • Corporate vehicle leasing
  • Fleet management
  • Business development
  • Go-to-Market strategy
  • B2B sales
  • P&L management
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Tender and bid management
  • Government procurement
  • Fleet financing
  • Vehicle lifecycle management
  • Strategic partnerships
  • Team leadership
  • Financial planning and forecasting
  • KPI and performance management
  • Customer relationship management

The ability to combine commercial ambition with operational discipline will be important because the position covers the complete Business Unit.

How to Stand Out

Your CV should demonstrate business-building results, rather than simply listing fleet-management responsibilities.

Highlight the size and scale of leasing businesses, fleets, contracts, teams, budgets, or customer portfolios you have managed.

Where possible, show measurable achievements such as:

  • Value of leasing contracts secured
  • Fleet size managed or expanded
  • Revenue or P&L responsibility
  • New corporate accounts acquired
  • Tender wins
  • Business growth achieved
  • Cost improvements
  • Customer retention
  • Partnerships established
  • New markets or business verticals launched

If you have successfully built a leasing or mobility operation from an early stage, make that experience highly visible.

Interview Preparation

Expect commercially focused questions about how you would build the new Business Unit.

“How would you develop a Go-to-Market strategy for corporate leasing in Qatar?”

Prepare to discuss target sectors, customer segmentation, fleet requirements, pricing, financing, partnerships, sales channels, tender opportunities, and competitive positioning.

“How would you win a major government or corporate fleet contract?”

Be ready to explain how you identify opportunities, assess tender requirements, build a commercial proposal, coordinate internal teams, negotiate terms, and manage contract profitability.

“What would you focus on during your first 90 days?”

A strong answer could cover market assessment, target-account development, pipeline creation, supplier and financing relationships, team structure, operating processes, KPIs, and financial planning.

Career Growth

A successful Business Unit leadership role can provide a pathway toward broader General Management, Country Management, Mobility Leadership, Fleet Management, or P&L leadership responsibilities.

The combination of business development, commercial strategy, fleet operations, financial management, and team leadership provides broad exposure to the mobility and corporate-services sector.
