Job Description/Specification:
Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the school's wider campus operations. The position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across facilities, health and safety, contracts, procurement, compliance, capital projects, campus planning, and support services.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and school leadership team to ensure the campus operates safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety, facilities management, and campus planning across the school.
- Manage capital projects, including CAPEX budgets, governance, risk management, and project delivery.
- Oversee renovations, building modifications, and major procurement projects.
- Coordinate with landlords, contractors, consultants, designers, and other external stakeholders.
- Manage third-party service contracts covering security, cleaning, maintenance, school transportation, and catering.
- Ensure campus operations comply with Qatar regulations and applicable organizational standards.
- Lead operational budgeting, procurement, and logistics for non-academic activities.
- Manage and support operations, facilities, procurement, transportation, and medical teams.
- Work with the school's Extended Leadership Team on space planning, room changes, and building maintenance.
- Advise the Principal on operational resources and campus requirements.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to improve service delivery and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support school events and ensure appropriate operational and logistical arrangements.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager or in a comparable senior operations role.
- Strong experience across facilities, procurement, contractors, vendors, and general operational management.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and personal integrity.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain composed in demanding situations.
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and deadline-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Qatar or wider Middle East experience is desirable.
