A Senior Static Equipment Engineer in Qatar is responsible for the engineering, specification, procurement, and technical execution of stationary equipment used in major process plants. - Lead static equipment engineering activities from concept and FEED through detailed design, procurement, and execution.
- Engineer and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, tanks, filters, and other pressure equipment.
- Prepare and review equipment datasheets, technical specifications, design calculations, and requisition packages.
- Conduct technical evaluations of equipment vendor bids and provide recommendations during procurement.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, material certificates, inspection and test plans, and technical documentation.
- Resolve technical queries involving equipment design, materials, fabrication, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate static equipment activities with engineering, procurement, construction teams, vendors, and consultants.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and process safety reviews involving static equipment.
- Ensure equipment designs comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable codes.
- Maintain engineering standards, technical procedures, and lessons learned.
- Provide technical support during equipment manufacturing, inspection, delivery, and project execution.
- Act as a subject matter expert on static equipment matters when required.
