SR. SALES OPERATIONS OFFICER

Job Description/Specification:

The LNG Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive commercial, logistical, and administrative support to LNG trading activities.

The role ensures that all obligations arising from LNG contracts and charter parties are fulfilled professionally, accurately, and on time. The position also works closely with traders to maximize commercial value through economic analysis and optimization while minimizing profit leakage associated with contractual flexibility and optionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercial, logistical, and administrative support for LNG trading activities.

• Ensure all contractual and charter party obligations are accurately managed and fulfilled.

• Liaise closely with LNG traders to identify and maximize value-adding opportunities.

• Apply economic analysis and optimization techniques to support profitable LNG operations.

• Identify and minimize potential profit leakage arising from flexibility and optionality within LNG contracts and supply programs.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of LNG transactions.

• Support commercial decision-making through analysis of operational, financial, contractual, and market considerations.

• Manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively throughout the LNG trading and delivery process.

• Ensure compliance with applicable contractual, commercial, legal, and regulatory requirements.

• Support effective risk control and contract administration across LNG operations.

• Work collaboratively across trading, sales, finance, legal, shipping, and other relevant functions.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial operations, including at least 2 years of LNG operations experience.

• Experience with leading International Oil Companies (IOCs), National Oil Companies (NOCs), or reputable trading companies is preferred.

• Excellent written and spoken English-language skills.

• Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, or Korean is an advantage.

• Broad multidisciplinary knowledge covering areas such as:

• Demonstrated experience in sales management and commercial operations.

• Strong internal and external stakeholder management capabilities.

• Good understanding of CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) systems and strong overall computer literacy.

• Working knowledge of international competition and antitrust laws.

• Understanding of freight contracts and shipping requirements within the context of LNG trading.

• High level of professional integrity and sound commercial judgment.

• Ability to work effectively in a complex, multidisciplinary, and commercially driven environment.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline from an internationally recognized university.

• A postgraduate qualification such as an MSc or MBA is preferred.
