Qatar University is offering an academic opportunity for a qualified professional in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related field. The role involves teaching practical, laboratory, and tutorial sessions while supporting student assessment, academic advising, research, and departmental activities in a higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver practical, laboratory, and tutorial sessions in relevant subjects.
  • Independently teach introductory and professional or technical sessions under the supervision of course instructors.
  • Assess student assignments, tests, quizzes, examinations, and projects and contribute to grading under instructor supervision.
  • Provide academic guidance and assistance to students during designated office hours.
  • Support senior students with graduation and academic projects.
  • Organize field trips and supervise internships and field studies.
  • Participate in departmental or faculty committees addressing academic and administrative matters.
  • Contribute to academic advising and assist with Department and College events.
  • Support research activities within the department.

Requirements

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a similar discipline.

  • At least two years of experience conducting tutorials in Biostatistics and Epidemiology.
