How to Stand Out
Your CV should show more than your job title. Highlight the type of hotel environment you have worked in, the responsibilities you handled, and any supervisory duties you performed.
Mention experience with guest check-ins, billing, cashiering, payment reconciliation, room assignments, loyalty programs, guest requests, or hotel systems.
If you have supervised a team, trained new employees, handled difficult guest situations, improved front desk procedures, or maintained strong accuracy during high-volume periods, include those achievements.
Quantifiable information can make your experience clearer—for example, the approximate number of rooms supported, team size, guest volumes, or responsibilities handled during peak periods.
Interview Preparation
Prepare for questions such as:
- How do you handle a busy hotel check-in period?
- What steps do you follow when processing a guest's payment?
