  • Complete assigned audits in line with the annual Internal Audit strategy, timelines, quality expectations, and allocated budgets.
  • Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and automotive process audits.

  • Perform ad hoc audits and special reviews requested by management or the Board.
  • Visit operational locations to assess service quality, efficiency, and compliance with company, regulatory, OEM, and HSES requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain audit working papers, internal audit memos, reports, and supporting records.
  • Identify causes of inefficient or uneconomic practices and evaluate potential improvements.
  • Develop practical recommendations to address audit findings and improve processes.
  • Use systems such as SAP, Power BI, TeamMate+, and TMC Oasis to support audit planning, analysis, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Maintain knowledge of automotive technologies and provide technical insight to the Internal Audit team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
  • Around 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous automotive experience with Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM India), Toyota Philippines, or another TMC country entity.
  • Understanding of automotive technical and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of internal audit principles, controls, compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to evaluate operational performance against established standards and requirements.
  • Experience preparing structured audit documentation and reports.
  • Analytical skills to identify root causes, control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with automotive or business systems such as SAP, Power BI, TeamMate+, or TMC Oasis is valuable.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Exposure to internal auditing across automotive operations and technical processes.
  • Opportunity to work with established international audit standards.
  • Broad involvement across operational, compliance, and risk-related areas.
  • Practical exposure to automotive systems, technologies, and business processes.

Who Should Apply?

This role is particularly relevant for Mechanical or Automotive Engineering professionals who have developed their careers within Toyota or another TMC-related organization. The ideal candidate combines technical automotive knowledge with an analytical mindset and an interest in governance, risk, compliance, and operational improvement.

Professionals who enjoy investigating how processes work, identifying gaps, reviewing evidence, and developing practical solutions should find this position a strong fit.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying the causes behind operational weaknesses. Attention to detail is important when reviewing audit evidence and preparing working papers.

You should also be comfortable communicating findings clearly, working with different operational teams, visiting business locations, and translating technical observations into practical recommendations. Familiarity with data and business systems can further strengthen your effectiveness as an internal auditor.

How to Stand Out

Highlight your automotive engineering background and clearly demonstrate your experience with Toyota or another TMC entity. Your CV should show specific examples of audits, compliance reviews, process assessments, operational improvements, or technical investigations you have completed.

Where possible, describe measurable outcomes such as improved compliance, reduced process inefficiencies, stronger controls, cost savings, or improvements in service quality.

Interview Preparation

Be prepared to discuss how you would plan and execute a risk-based audit, evaluate controls, document findings, and communicate recommendations. Interviewers may also ask about handling resistance from operational teams, identifying root causes, assessing automotive technical processes, and using systems such as SAP or Power BI.

Prepare practical examples from your automotive experience using a clear situation, action, and result structure.
