Job Description/Specification:

An automotive service operation in Qatar is seeking an experienced professional to manage customer interactions throughout the vehicle service process. The role combines customer service, service reception, job card management, repair coordination, upselling, and aftersales support.

With responsibility for keeping customers informed from vehicle reception through delivery, this position is suited to professionals who understand automotive service operations and can balance customer expectations with workshop requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers, respond to telephone enquiries, and provide professional assistance throughout the service experience.
  • Receive customer vehicles and accurately record their requirements, concerns, and requested work on job cards.
  • Provide clear estimates for service costs and completion times and keep customers updated on progress.
  • Coordinate with workshop teams to monitor repair progress and communicate additional work, cost changes, or delays to customers.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are protected during servicing using appropriate seat covers, floor mats, and other protection materials.
  • Review completed job cards for accuracy, correct pricing, complete information, and proper documentation before vehicle delivery.
  • Explain completed work and associated charges clearly when handing vehicles back to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to promote genuine parts, services, and value-added offerings while supporting aftersales revenue targets.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and coordinate appropriate solutions to achieve a positive outcome.
  • Follow up with customers after expensive repairs, safety-related work, or cases with potential dissatisfaction.
  • Support customer satisfaction, first-time-fix performance, service volume, and other management targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Approximately five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong customer service and customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent telephone communication and professional interaction skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of customers and service requests.
  • Understanding of automotive service and aftersales processes.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them accurately into job cards.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing repair documentation, pricing, and completed work.
  • Ability to explain technical work and service charges clearly to customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and complaint-resolution abilities.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Build your career in automotive aftersales and customer service.
  • Gain broad exposure to vehicle servicing, workshop coordination, and customer relationship management.
  • Develop commercial experience through service promotion and value-added offerings.
  • Work directly with customers while coordinating closely with technical service teams.
  • Opportunities for career development through company/TMC certification examinations.

Who Should Apply?

This role is best suited to an experienced automotive professional who enjoys working directly with customers while understanding the technical side of vehicle servicing.

Candidates with experience as Service Advisors, Service Receptionists, Aftersales Executives, Automotive Customer Service Executives, or similar dealership roles may be well suited. An engineering education combined with practical automotive experience is particularly relevant.

The ideal candidate should be confident dealing with demanding customers, comfortable explaining repair requirements, and capable of managing several vehicles and customer requests simultaneously.

Reliability is also important because the position expects the successful candidate to set a positive example for other reception staff through punctuality, professionalism, and consistent customer service.
