Job Description/Specification:
A leading oil and gas organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to perform comprehensive project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, verification, and reporting activities. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of large-scale capital and portfolio projects from initiation to close-out.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Perform progress monitoring, verification, and reporting to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Plan and coordinate shutdown schedules, including pre-shutdown preparation, execution, and post-shutdown activities.

Support pre-commissioning and commissioning planning, including system-wise handover strategies.

Conduct project control activities such as forecasting, trending, risk assessment, and claims analysis.

Ensure compliance with project phasing, control processes, and reporting standards.

Utilize Primavera, MS Office, and project control software for planning and reporting.

Provide analytical insights and progress verification to project leadership.
Requirements
-
Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning within the oil & gas industry.

Experience with large capital projects, including gas processing plants, refineries, and onshore pipelines.

At least 5 years of experience with National Oil Companies or International Oil Companies preferred.

Strong knowledge of EPC project lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).

Experience in shutdown planning and execution.

Proficiency in Primavera; skills in Primavera Risk Analysis and Power BI are preferred.

Work experience in GCC is desirable.
