Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways Group is offering an exciting opportunity for an Associate Legal Specialist to join its Group Legal team in Doha. This role focuses on supporting the review, negotiation, drafting, and administration of technology, digital, and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with the Group’s strategic interests.
Key Responsibilities
Contracting & Legal Support

Review, analyze, negotiate, and draft technology and digital contracts including software licences, SaaS agreements, cloud services, professional services, and maintenance agreements.

Support contract evaluations, cost and price analysis, and source selection.

Coordinate with Procurement, IT, Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Business Owners to ensure accurate specifications and lead times.

Engage with stakeholders to explain contractual requirements and interpretations.

Improve contract quality by addressing key legal and commercial considerations such as intellectual property, data protection, and information security.

Identify contractual risks and support mitigation strategies related to cyber security, AI usage, IP ownership, and supplier performance.

Maintain accurate documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.

Support tender reviews, RFPs, RFQs, supplier deviations, and contract templates for technology procurement.
Governance & Process Improvement

Contribute to the development of contracting policies, procedures, and templates.

Implement contracting practices that reflect strong business judgment and compliance.

Support automation and internal processes to improve efficiency.

Ensure contracting activities comply with statutory, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.

Collaborate across functions to minimize duplication and address gaps.

Handle information in line with Qatar Airways Group’s data protection and confidentiality standards.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Experience in contracts or the legal field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
