Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to establish domain architecture, technology standards, and delivery frameworks that support automation needs across business units. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring scalability, and aligning IT solutions with corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Establish IT domain architecture and delivery standards for assigned business units.

Review solutions, recommend IT architecture and design standards, and mentor delivery teams.

Evaluate technologies, tools, and vendor applications, and lead adoption plans.

Govern system architectures across business units, ensuring consistency with requirements.

Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business strategy and objectives.

Collaborate with architects across LOBs to identify synergies and standardize tools.

Contribute to architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities.

Review business requirements and deliver solution architecture artefacts.

Define microservices and APIs using functional decomposition and Domain Driven Design.

Oversee development artefacts to ensure consistency with design guidelines.

Provide strategic guidance to development teams and align solutions with business goals.

Plan and execute proof of concepts for complex solutions and emerging technologies.

Liaise with external suppliers and internal IT teams to design robust solutions.

Ensure system designs are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and compliant with standards.

Lead root cause analysis of critical incidents and recommend preventive actions.

Contribute to IT strategy preparation and budgeting exercises.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 10 years of job-related experience.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, or Commerce.

Proven software engineering experience.

Experience implementing high-volume eCommerce solutions using enterprise-grade platforms.

Hands-on integration of CMS, PIM, storefronts, CDP, personalization solutions, and A/B/N testing platforms.

Experience integrating SaaS platforms with enterprise systems using middleware.

Strong knowledge of database technologies, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.

Expertise in DevOps, DevSecOps, and software quality assurance processes.

Hands-on experience with AI tools in systems development.

Full-stack development and large product design expertise.

Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and enterprise integration patterns.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
