Job Description/Specification:
Milaha is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support ongoing shipyard infrastructure upgrades, facility enhancement projects, marine civil works, and CAPEX initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring civil works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and HSSEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities

Support planning, execution, and monitoring of shipyard infrastructure and facility upgrade projects.

Review civil drawings, BOQs, specifications, method statements, and contractor proposals.

Conduct site inspections to monitor construction activities, contractor performance, and progress.
-
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Provide civil engineering support for floating dock facilities, workshops, roads, drainage systems, utilities, and marine infrastructure.

Oversee civil works related to floating dry docks, ship lifts, and berth facilities.

Support project cost control, including budget monitoring, contractor claims, and cost tracking.

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and HSSEQ requirements.

Participate in tender reviews, technical evaluations, and contractor assessments.

Monitor site surveys, testing, and geotechnical investigations.

Supervise concrete and asphalt works, pathways, drainage, utilities, and fire protection systems.

Maintain project documentation including progress reports, inspection records, risk registers, and close-out files.

Identify project risks and support mitigation actions.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure project execution.

Experience with concrete and steel structures, industrial buildings, workshops, warehouses, and fit-out projects preferred.

Strong contractor coordination and site supervision experience.

Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Qatar experience preferred.

MMUP/UPDA certification preferred; PMP certification is an advantage.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; MS Project is an advantage.

Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills.
