Job Description/Specification:
A leading F&B group in Qatar is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of restaurant development and fit-out projects. This role covers the full lifecycle of restaurant openings, from shell-and-core units through construction, interior fit-out, MEP installation, kitchen equipment commissioning, and final handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in planning and delivering restaurant construction and fit-out projects.

Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, trackers, and progress reports.

Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, designers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor site progress, identify delays, and ensure timely corrective actions.
-
Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings.
-
Oversee civil, architectural, structural, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire & life safety, and other building services.

Manage interior fit-out works including flooring, ceilings, painting, joinery, furniture, glazing, signage, and decorative elements.

Coordinate kitchen equipment layouts, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Liaise with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, and kitchen specialists to resolve technical issues.

Review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, and technical documentation.

Secure permits, inspections, and approvals from Civil Defence, Municipality, MOCI, Kahramaa, landlords, and other authorities.

Coordinate procurement and supplier deliveries, monitoring long-lead items to avoid delays.

Support cost reviews, quotations, variations, and additional works.

Maintain snagging and punch-list records, ensuring timely closure of defects.

Support restaurant opening and post-opening defect rectification.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or Project Management.

5–8 years of relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out, hospitality, retail, or restaurant development.

Strong experience in restaurant/F&B fit-out projects highly preferred.

Proven ability to coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of civil, architectural, MEP, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and interior fit-out works.

Proficiency in construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project schedules.

Experience with Primavera P6 preferred; MS Project is an advantage.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of Qatar/GCC construction practices and authority approval processes.

Understanding of restaurant kitchen layouts, equipment requirements, exhaust, and ventilation systems.
