Job Description/Specification:
A major building project in Qatar is seeking an experienced BMS & Controls Automation Engineer (UPDA Grade A) to lead building management systems, controls, and automation activities. This role is critical to ensuring successful installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of HVAC and automation systems across a large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate BMS, controls, automation, and HVAC system installations.

Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and control schematics.

Lead testing, commissioning, and functional performance testing activities.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and authority requirements.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Troubleshoot system issues, alarms, and interlocks to maintain operational efficiency.

Oversee integration of BMS systems with HVAC, lighting, and curtain control systems.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.

UPDA/MMUP Grade A Certification – mandatory.

Minimum 15 years of experience in BMS, controls, automation, HVAC controls, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.

Strong experience with FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, VAVs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation systems, lighting controls, and curtain control systems.

Hands-on expertise with MCCs, DDC/PLC panels, VFDs, sensors, actuators, valves, and field devices.

Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, BMS integration, control sequences, alarms, and troubleshooting.
