Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background and proven experience in consultancy and project management. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, procurement, construction activities and overall progress while ensuring delegated tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
The role requires strong coordination and leadership skills, with regular interaction with consultants, contractors, project teams and management. Candidates with relevant engineering or construction project experience will be preferred.
About This Role
The Project Manager will support the planning and development of project scopes, monitor project performance and resolve challenges that may affect delivery. The position will be responsible for tracking project progress, evaluating team performance and providing management with timely updates and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate consultancy and construction projects from planning through execution.
- Support pre-planning, procurement and construction activities.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress against approved schedules, objectives and deadlines.
- Track team performance and ensure assigned responsibilities are completed on time.
- Identify project challenges and develop practical solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors across old, ongoing and new projects.
- Assist management in defining and developing project scope, plans and requirements.
- Follow up on project activities to ensure quality, timely delivery and effective resource utilization.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain project progress.
- Prepare regular project status reports and communicate progress, risks and issues to management.
- Support management with project planning, decision-making and development activities.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consultancy and/or project management.
- Relevant experience in engineering, construction or project management environments.
- Strong technical background with an understanding of construction and project execution.
- Experience in pre-planning, procurement and construction activities.
