Snoonu, Qatar’s homegrown Super App, is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead cross‑functional teams building Python applications, AI/ML services, and data‑driven platforms. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI‑powered products in one of the region’s most ambitious tech companies.
Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams focused on Python applications and AI/ML platforms.

Mentor engineers across seniority levels, supporting skill growth and alignment with ML project goals.

Drive architecture and system design for scalable AI/ML applications and backend services.

Collaborate with Data Science, Product, QA, DevOps, and Platform teams to deliver initiatives.

Oversee model deployment pipelines (REST APIs, streaming, batch systems).

Ensure reproducibility, monitoring, and versioning of ML models.

Improve CI/CD workflows, coding standards, and technical documentation.

Manage incident response, root‑cause analysis, and reliability of ML services.

Support recruitment, knowledge sharing, and team culture development.
Technical Competencies

Expert Python development with frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).

Strong grounding in distributed systems and scalable backend architecture.

Experience deploying ML models to production (batch, real‑time, streaming).

Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn, MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI.

Familiarity with vector databases, feature stores, and embedding‑based search.

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, Docker, orchestration, and cloud (AWS/GCP).

Strong understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, relational and NoSQL databases.

Establishing standards for testing, observability, and reliability in ML systems.
