Job Description/Specification:
Rosewood Doha is hiring a Masonry Technician to join its Engineering team. The role is responsible for maintaining and repairing guest rooms, public areas, walls, floors, ceilings and other hotel facilities while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out masonry, plastering, tiling and concrete repair works
• Install, repair and replace floor and wall tiles, ceilings and masonry
• Perform demolition and construction of brick, block and concrete structures when required
• Prepare and mix materials according to specifications
• Use power tools such as saws, grinders, drills and demolition hammers safely
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency work orders
• Maintain guestrooms and public areas according to hotel standards
• Keep maintenance records and logbook entries up to date
• Coordinate with the Duty Engineer and Engineering Supervisor
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
• Follow hotel safety, emergency and departmental procedures
• Use required PPE and comply with workplace safety requirements
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in masonry or hotel/building maintenance
• Practical knowledge of masonry, plastering, tiling and concrete work
• Ability to use relevant hand and power tools
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering/maintenance team
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to maintenance requests
