Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Supervisor – Irrigation & Softscape to oversee daily landscaping, gardening, irrigation, and softscape activities in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will supervise site teams, allocate manpower and resources, monitor work quality, and ensure landscape maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
This is a local hiring position in Qatar for candidates with practical experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, irrigation systems, and softscape works. Candidates must be available to join immediately and meet the required Qatar employment and driving requirements.
About This Role
The Landscape Supervisor will manage day-to-day site operations and lead landscapers, gardeners, irrigation workers, and other site personnel. The role involves monitoring plant health, irrigation systems, lawns, trees, shrubs, and general landscape maintenance while coordinating with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, and management.
The successful candidate should be hands-on, organized, safety-conscious, and capable of managing multiple site activities while maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape & Softscape Operations
- Supervise daily landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and softscape activities.
- Monitor planting, pruning, trimming, fertilizing, watering, and general landscape maintenance.
- Monitor the health and condition of plants, trees, lawns, shrubs, and seasonal plants.
- Inspect completed works and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.
Irrigation & Site Supervision
- Supervise installation, maintenance, and operation of irrigation systems.
- Identify irrigation and landscaping issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work progress.
- Ensure activities are completed according to approved schedules and project requirements.
Manpower & Resource Management
- Allocate daily tasks and manage manpower according to site requirements.
- Supervise landscapers, gardeners, irrigation workers, and other site teams.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and overall team performance.
- Ensure tools, equipment, machinery, and materials are used correctly and maintained properly.
- Identify material and manpower requirements and report them to management.
Client Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, and site representatives.
- Prepare daily work schedules, manpower allocations, progress updates, and site reports.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and site works.
- Report operational issues and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
Safety & Team Development
- Ensure all landscaping activities are performed in accordance with company safety procedures.
- Monitor proper use of PPE and compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Train, guide, and motivate workers to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Landscape Supervisor or similar role.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, irrigation, horticulture, and softscape works.
- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, lawns, irrigation systems, and landscaping practices.
- Previous Qatar or GCC landscaping experience is preferred.
- Ability to understand landscape drawings, work instructions, and project documents.
- Strong leadership, manpower management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and manage multiple site activities.
- Physically fit, responsible, organized, and hardworking.
Qatar Employment Requirements
- Valid Qatar Residence Permit (QID) required.
- Transferable QID with NOC required.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is mandatory.
- Must currently be available in Qatar.
- Immediate joining is preferred.
- Arabic nationality candidates only.
