Job Description/Specification:
Amentum is seeking a Project Manager to support a USAF engineering contract under the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) at Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB), Doha, Qatar. This position focuses on project planning, design review, project management, construction management, site planning, and technical liaison services supporting a range of government infrastructure projects.
The role is suited to an experienced project management professional with a PMP certification and a strong understanding of engineering, construction, planning, and project delivery.
Project Manager Job Overview
The Project Manager will support the Government throughout the lifecycle of construction, renovation, improvement, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities cover planning and design reviews through construction monitoring, quality assurance, documentation, reporting, and project closeout support.
Projects may include earthwork, airfield and roadway pavement systems, structures, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, water and sewage systems, fire protection systems, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing project planning, design review, project management, and construction management services.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of Installation Development Plans, District Plans, and Component Plans.
- Providing site planning support in accordance with applicable Air Force guidance and planning procedures.
- Gathering and documenting existing site conditions using the Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP).
- Maintaining accurate planning datasets and providing updates to the Installation GeoBase office.
- Managing and coordinating projects involving new construction, renovation, and facility improvements.
- Reviewing engineering designs for maintainability, constructability, safety, communications, and potential impacts on existing facilities and infrastructure.
- Providing technical analysis and consultation across civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines when required.
- Monitoring construction projects against approved drawings, specifications, regulations, and applicable best practices.
- Providing technical guidance for quality assurance activities and construction testing.
- Tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) and construction submittals through electronic logs.
- Reviewing contractor submittals and providing recommendations, comments, or technical advice.
- Supporting the resolution of construction issues and responding to RFIs.
- Serving as a technical liaison between Government entities, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Participating in project meetings, inspections, and construction-related events.
- Visiting construction sites weekly and monitoring project progress.
- Identifying potential engineering, construction, or project delivery problems.
- Monitoring project performance against key performance indicators and contractual requirements.
- Preparing weekly project status and progress reports for the Site Manager.
- Supporting or conducting formal presentations for clients and management.
- Managing, monitoring, inspecting, documenting, and advising on projects as required.
Project Management Requirements
Candidates must hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and have at least seven years of project management experience.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction management, building science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates should have knowledge of:

The successful candidate must also complete AFIT WMGT 301 and WMGT 322 through the first available offering after hiring.
Security and Eligibility Requirements
This position has specific eligibility requirements associated with the Government contract.
