Job Description/Specification:
Al Abdulghani Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Window Tinting & Paint Protection Film (PPF) Technician to join our vehicle detailing and service team. The role is responsible for professionally installing automotive window films and paint protection films while maintaining high standards of precision, finish quality, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in automotive film installation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with specialist tools and materials to deliver seamless, bubble-free results.
About This Role
The Automotive Film Technician will measure, cut, install, inspect, and correct automotive window tint and PPF applications. The position requires knowledge of film application techniques, safe handling procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and vehicle surface protection.
You will work closely with the detailing team and report to the Workshop/Service Supervisor to ensure vehicles are completed according to company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and professionally install automotive window tint films.
- Apply Paint Protection Film (PPF) to vehicle surfaces to protect against scratches, stone chips, and environmental damage.
- Ensure installations are clean, seamless, bubble-free, and free from visible defects.
- Inspect vehicles before and after film application to identify existing damage and verify workmanship.
- Use appropriate film installation tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Perform minor film removal, corrections, and rework when required.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and workshop health and safety procedures when handling films and chemicals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly maintain tools and equipment.
- Explain available film options, benefits, and basic maintenance requirements to customers when required.
- Coordinate with vehicle detailing and workshop teams to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Report completed work, quality concerns, and technical issues to the Workshop/Service Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- High School certificate or Diploma.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in automotive window tinting, PPF installation, vehicle detailing, or a related automotive service environment.
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of automotive film installation and vehicle surface protection.
- Understanding of film preparation, cutting, application, and finishing techniques.
