Job Description/Specification:
A construction company specializing in residential villa projects is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee the execution and progress of multiple villa projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong site management experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, foremen, and clients.
The role requires a hands-on professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, timely completion, compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and effective technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
- Manage and supervise the execution of residential villa projects from commencement through handover.
- Coordinate and monitor multiple villa projects simultaneously.
- Review architectural and structural drawings and ensure construction follows approved specifications.
- Monitor project progress, workmanship, quality, and adherence to approved schedules.
- Prepare regular progress reports highlighting project status, site issues, and required actions.
- Identify site problems and take timely corrective action.
Coordination & Supervision
- Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, and work progress.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Follow up on project schedules and ensure activities remain on track.
- Maintain effective communication between site teams and project stakeholders.
Technical & Documentation
- Perform technical office duties related to ongoing construction projects.
- Prepare official letters, project correspondence, reports, and technical documentation.
- Follow up on consultant approvals, comments, inspections, and technical submissions.
- Maintain project records and ensure required documentation is properly organized.
- Coordinate technical matters between the site team, consultant, subcontractors, and client.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Civil Engineering experience in Qatar.
- Strong experience in the execution and supervision of residential villa projects.
- Proven ability to manage and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in site supervision, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and project scheduling.
- Previous experience in technical office functions is required.
