Job Description/Specification:
EFS Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead large-scale, integrated facilities management operations across multiple client contracts in Doha, Qatar. The role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, contractual performance, service quality, compliance, commercial results, and strong client relationships across a diverse facilities portfolio.
The successful candidate will be a senior FM professional with a strong engineering background and proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams, multiple contracts, technical operations, maintenance programs, and client relationships. The position requires a strategic and commercially focused leader who can deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused facilities management services in a demanding, multi-site environment.
About This Role
As a Senior Facilities Manager, you will provide end-to-end leadership across multiple facilities management contracts, ensuring all services meet agreed SLAs, KPIs, contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.
You will oversee technical and operational teams, maintenance and asset management programs, budgets, resources, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also serves as a key interface with clients, consultants, senior management, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management Operations
- Lead integrated facilities management services across multiple client sites and contracts.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, KPIs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage operational performance across multiple facilities and service disciplines.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Technical & Engineering Management
- Provide technical leadership across MEP systems, building services, infrastructure, and maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Oversee asset management programs to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance.
- Monitor technical service quality and ensure engineering standards are consistently maintained.
- Support technical audits, inspections, mobilizations, and operational transitions.
Contract & Client Management
- Manage multiple FM contracts while balancing service quality, operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary operational and strategic contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Review contract performance and develop improvement plans where required.
- Support contract mobilization, transition, renewal, and business development initiatives.
People & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop large multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Establish a high-performance, safety-focused, and customer-oriented culture.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet operational and contractual requirements.
- Support employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration across technical and support functions.
Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor budgets, operational expenditure, resource utilization, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and asset performance.
- Monitor contract KPIs and develop performance improvement strategies.
- Support commercial objectives and ensure contracts operate within agreed financial parameters.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE, environmental, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all sites and operational teams.
- Support audits, inspections, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
- Ensure facilities and services comply with client and regulatory standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional certification in Facilities Management, Asset Management, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in facilities management, with significant experience in a senior leadership position.
- Proven experience managing multiple FM contracts, sites, and large operational portfolios.
- Strong engineering and technical facilities management background.
- Experience managing building services, MEP systems, maintenance operations, and asset management programs.
- Experience leading large, multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
- GCC facilities management experience is highly preferred.
