Job Description/Specification:
Hilton is seeking a friendly and energetic Recreation Attendant to support the delivery of engaging leisure, fitness, wellness, sports, and recreational experiences for hotel guests. The role involves organizing and facilitating activities for guests of different ages and interests while maintaining high standards of hospitality, safety, and service.
The successful candidate will actively engage guests through fitness classes, sports activities, poolside programs, and children's recreation. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to work in a flexible hotel environment are essential for success in this position.
About This Role
As a Recreation Attendant, you will help create memorable guest experiences by facilitating recreational programs and maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming leisure facilities. You will interact directly with guests, respond to inquiries, promote available activities, and support hotel events and wellness initiatives.
You will also work closely with other departments to coordinate activities, prepare recreational areas, address guest concerns, and ensure compliance with hotel health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Engagement & Recreation
- Lead and facilitate fitness classes, sports games, poolside activities, and children's programs.
- Encourage guest participation and create an energetic, welcoming recreational environment.
- Explain available activities and recreational facilities to guests.
- Promote wellness and recreational programs to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Adapt activities to suit different guest ages, interests, and abilities.
Safety & Facility Management
- Monitor recreational areas to ensure they remain safe, clean, organized, and guest-ready.
- Follow hotel health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Identify and report damaged equipment, facility issues, hazards, or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure recreational equipment is used safely and appropriately.
Guest Service
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to hotel guests.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
- Resolve recreational service issues professionally and escalate matters when required.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming approach throughout all guest interactions.
Teamwork & Event Support
- Coordinate with hotel departments to support recreational activities, events, and wellness programs.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of activities and recreational events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Contribute ideas for improving recreational programs and guest engagement.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Certification
- Relevant recreation, fitness, hospitality, or customer service training is an advantage.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in recreation, hospitality, fitness, leisure, sports, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience working directly with hotel guests or participating in organized recreational programs is an advantage.
