Job Description/Specification:
A growing pediatric therapy center in Qatar is seeking 2 qualified Occupational Therapists to provide specialized therapy services to children with developmental and learning needs. The role focuses on assessment, individualized intervention, sensory-based therapy, and supporting children in achieving greater independence and functional development.
The successful candidates will work closely with children, parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. Candidates with experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and learning difficulties are encouraged to apply.
About This Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess pediatric clients, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, and monitor progress. You will also educate parents and caregivers on practical strategies that can support children's development and carryover of therapeutic goals at home.
Experience in sensory integration therapy will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for pediatric clients.
- Identify functional, developmental, sensory, and participation-related needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies when required.
Pediatric Therapy
- Provide therapy for children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and learning difficulties.
- Apply appropriate therapeutic techniques to improve motor, sensory, cognitive, social, and daily living skills.
- Incorporate sensory integration approaches where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress records.
Family & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Educate parents and caregivers on intervention techniques and home-based strategies.
- Communicate treatment goals, progress, and recommendations effectively with families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and child-centered care.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to individualized care planning.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Previous experience working with pediatric clients is required.
- Experience supporting children with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, or learning difficulties.
- Experience in sensory integration therapy is an advantage.
Licensing & Eligibility
- DataFlow eligibility or willingness to complete DataFlow verification.
- Candidates must meet applicable professional licensing requirements for working as an Occupational Therapist in Qatar.
