Job Description/Specification:
A healthcare organization in Doha, Qatar is seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join its growing team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, pharmaceutical inventory management, and maintaining compliance with healthcare and pharmacy regulations.
This position is suitable for a licensed pharmacist with strong clinical and customer service skills and a commitment to patient safety and pharmaceutical best practices. A valid Qatari Pharmacist License is mandatory. The position is available for immediate joining, with a competitive salary based on experience.
About This Role
As a Pharmacist, you will support the safe and effective use of medicines by dispensing prescriptions accurately, educating patients on medication use, maintaining pharmacy records, and coordinating with healthcare professionals. You will also contribute to inventory management and ensure pharmacy operations comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing & Patient Care
- Dispense prescription and other medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescriptions, dosage instructions, and medication details before dispensing.
- Counsel patients on correct medication use, dosage, precautions, and potential side effects.
- Address patient medication-related questions and provide appropriate pharmaceutical guidance.
- Promote patient safety and adherence to medication plans.
Pharmacy Operations & Inventory
- Maintain accurate pharmacy and medication records.
- Monitor pharmaceutical inventory, stock levels, expiry dates, and storage requirements.
- Support ordering and replenishment of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Healthcare Collaboration & Compliance
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care.
- Identify and communicate potential medication-related concerns when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Stay informed about pharmaceutical practices, medicines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or an equivalent recognized pharmacy qualification.
Licensing
- Valid Qatari Pharmacist License / MOPH Pharmacist License is mandatory.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to practice pharmacy in Qatar.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Pharmacist.
- Experience in a retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy environment is preferred.
