Job Description/Specification:
Raffles Doha is seeking an Assistant Butler to deliver discreet, personalized, and anticipatory service to guests within its luxury hotel environment at Katara Towers in Lusail. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with exceptional attention to detail, polished communication skills, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Working closely with the Butler and departments including Housekeeping, Concierge, Front Office, Spa, and Food & Beverage, the Assistant Butler will support every stage of the guest journey, from arrival and room preparation to in-stay requests and departure.
About This Role
The Assistant Butler plays an important role in maintaining the highly personalized service expected at Raffles Doha. You will assist with VIP and long-stay guests, manage in-room requirements, maintain guest preferences, and ensure rooms and suites are prepared according to individual expectations and luxury brand standards.
The successful candidate should demonstrate discretion, cultural awareness, impeccable grooming, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Welcome guests and assist with personalized check-in and check-out experiences.
- Provide attentive and discreet service throughout the guest stay.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
- Support the Butler in creating memorable experiences for VIP and long-stay guests.
- Maintain guest confidentiality and handle personal information with discretion.
Room & Butler Services
- Prepare guest rooms and suites according to VIP standards and guest preferences.
- Conduct room inspections before guest arrivals and following departures.
- Handle luggage, packing, unpacking, and valet services.
- Support laundry, pressing, shoe-shining, minibar replenishment, and guest amenity requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and special requests.
Departmental Coordination
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Concierge, Front Office, Spa, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
- Ensure guest requests and special arrangements are communicated and completed efficiently.
- Follow up on guest requirements to ensure a seamless experience.
- Assist with maintaining consistent service standards throughout the guest journey.
Luxury Service Standards
- Maintain impeccable grooming and professional etiquette.
- Follow Raffles service standards and luxury hospitality procedures.

Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or guest-facing hospitality environment.
- Experience supporting VIP guests or personalized guest services is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Forbes Five-Star or comparable luxury hospitality standards is preferred.
