- Gain exposure to identity management, web services and business process solutions.
- Work on application implementation, troubleshooting and technical support.

Who Should Apply?
This role is best suited to a senior IT professional who is comfortable working across both platform administration and application development.
You may be an OpenText Liferay Administrator, Liferay Developer, OpenText Developer, Java Developer or Enterprise Application Specialist with strong experience in the OpenText ecosystem.
The ideal candidate should be technically curious, methodical and comfortable investigating complex issues independently. You should also be able to collaborate with other developers and internal teams when implementing solutions or resolving production issues.
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
The strongest candidates will combine platform expertise with software development skills.
Important technical capabilities include Liferay administration, OTDS configuration, Java development, web services, SOA concepts, application deployment, identity management and system troubleshooting.
You should also understand how to analyse logs, trace business process issues and identify whether a problem originates from configuration, application code, integration or user access.
Communication is equally important because the role includes end-user support, technical reporting and collaboration with other developers.
How to Stand Out
Your CV should clearly demonstrate hands-on experience rather than simply listing Liferay or Java as skills.
Highlight:
- Liferay Platform versions and environments you have administered.
- OTDS installation, configuration or integration projects.
- Java applications you have designed or developed.
- Enterprise systems or applications you have deployed.
- Web services and SOA integrations you have implemented.
- Examples of complex production issues you resolved.
- Experience with identity, roles, teams and access management.
- Projects involving entity-based solutions or business process automation.
Include measurable details where possible, such as the number of users supported, applications deployed, project scope or system improvements delivered.
Interview Preparation
Expect technical questions about Liferay administration, OTDS integration, user and role management, application deployment and system troubleshooting.
You may be asked how you would investigate a platform issue using system logs, troubleshoot a failed business process or diagnose an integration problem between Liferay and another enterprise system.
Be prepared to discuss Java development practices, scalable application design, debugging methods and how you approach requirements before starting development.
Practical examples from previous projects will be especially useful.
Career Growth
Experience across OpenText Liferay administration and Java development can lead to positions such as Senior Liferay Developer, OpenText Technical Specialist, Enterprise Application Architect, Technical Lead or Solution Architect.
