Job Description/Specification:

A Senior Strategic Alliances Analyst plays an important role in turning complex business data into insights that support strategic decisions and commercial growth. This opportunity in Doha is suited to professionals with experience in data analysis, aviation, revenue management, strategy, network planning or business partnerships.

The role focuses on analysing strategic partnerships, identifying opportunities for growth and supporting decision-making across commercial, passenger, cargo and other business areas. It offers a strong career opportunity for analytical professionals looking to work at the intersection of aviation, strategy and advanced analytics in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse strategic partnership performance and identify opportunities to improve commercial and operational results.
  • Identify top-line and bottom-line opportunities across passenger, cargo, procurement and technical business areas.
  • Develop dashboards, reports and presentations that help stakeholders understand performance and make informed decisions.
  • Support annual budgeting, target setting and performance monitoring activities.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and ad hoc studies to support strategic projects and partnership decisions.
  • Provide analytical insights to support partnership discussions and business initiatives.
  • Improve data quality, collection processes and the efficiency of data preparation and analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, advanced analytics, AI and emerging technologies.
  • Coordinate meetings and working groups involving internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation of analytical processes, projects and deliverables.

Requirements

Candidates should ideally have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business Administration, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Legal studies or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, revenue management, sales, network planning, strategy or airline partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience using data and business intelligence tools such as SQL, BigQuery, Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong data mining, research and analytical reporting skills.
  • The ability to interpret market research and transform findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning or predictive analytics.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Work at the intersection of aviation, commercial strategy and advanced data analytics.
  • Gain exposure to strategic partnerships across multiple business areas.
  • Develop experience with large-scale datasets, dashboards and business intelligence tools.
  • Contribute to projects involving automation, AI and emerging technologies.
  • Build a career in the growing aviation and corporate sector in Qatar.

Who Should Apply?

This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys solving business problems rather than simply producing reports. You should be comfortable taking large amounts of data, identifying patterns and turning your findings into practical recommendations.

The position could suit a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Revenue Management Analyst, Strategy Analyst or aviation professional with experience in commercial planning or partnerships. Candidates with an airline or travel industry background may find their experience particularly relevant.

You should also be comfortable working with different teams, as the role involves collaboration with stakeholders across commercial, sales, network planning, marketing, cargo, procurement and technical functions.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

Technical ability is important, but the strongest candidates will also know how to connect data with real business decisions.

Strong SQL and business intelligence skills can help you work efficiently with large datasets and develop useful dashboards. Knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Tableau, BigQuery or Alteryx can also be valuable.

You will also benefit from skills in data storytelling, market research, predictive analytics and process automation. Just as importantly, you should be able to explain complex findings clearly to stakeholders who may not have a technical background.

How to Stand Out

Hiring managers will want to see evidence that your analysis has influenced real business outcomes.

Your CV should highlight:

  • Dashboards, reports or analytical tools you have developed.
  • Large datasets or complex business problems you have analysed.
  • Examples where your insights improved revenue, reduced costs or identified growth opportunities.
  • Experience using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, BigQuery or other analytical platforms.
  • Automation, AI or predictive analytics projects you have supported.
  • Experience working with commercial, strategy or cross-functional teams.
  • Measurable results linked to your analysis.

Where possible, include numbers. For example, mention the size of the dataset, improvement in reporting time, revenue opportunity identified or efficiency gained through automation.

Interview Preparation

Expect questions about how you approach a complex business problem when the available data is incomplete or comes from multiple sources.

You may be asked to explain a dashboard or analytical project you developed, how you ensured data quality or how your analysis influenced a commercial decision.

Prepare examples that demonstrate both technical and business skills. Be ready to discuss the analytical tools you have used, how you communicate insights and how you prioritise requests from multiple stakeholders.

A strong answer should show not only how you analyse data, but also how you turn that analysis into an action or recommendation.

Career Growth

This Senior Strategic Alliances Analyst role can create opportunities to progress into positions such as Strategic Partnerships Manager, Senior Strategy Analyst, Commercial Strategy Manager, Revenue Management Manager or Business Intelligence and Analytics leadership roles.
