Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced Ticket Controller to manage controlled ticket inventory, allocations, distribution, tracking, and reconciliation. The role requires exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability, particularly when handling high-volume or commercially sensitive ticket inventories.
The successful candidate will maintain complete control throughout the ticket lifecycle, identify discrepancies, and provide accurate reporting while supporting time-sensitive ticketing requirements.
About This Role
This position is suited to professionals with direct experience in ticket inventory control, ticket fulfilment, allocation management, distribution records, and reconciliation. Experience supporting major sporting events, international events, premium hospitality, VIP, corporate, or sponsor ticketing environments will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate control of physical and/or digital ticket inventory throughout the ticket lifecycle.
- Verify ticket quantities, categories, references, allocations, and distribution records.
- Manage ticket releases, allocations, changes, transfers, and distribution requirements.
- Maintain detailed ticket movement, inventory, and reconciliation records.
- Investigate and resolve ticket inventory and allocation discrepancies.
- Maintain ticketing trackers and prepare accurate status and reconciliation reports.
- Support VIP, corporate, sponsor, hospitality, and other controlled ticket allocations.
- Ensure ticketing records remain accurate and up to date during high-volume periods.
- Handle confidential and commercially sensitive ticket information appropriately.
- Support urgent and time-critical ticketing requirements while maintaining strict controls.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years of direct experience in ticket control, ticket inventory, ticket fulfilment, hospitality ticketing, or a closely related function.
- Hands-on experience managing ticket inventory, allocations, distribution, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Experience with major sporting events, international events, premium hospitality, or high-volume controlled ticketing environments.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and ticketing/reporting tracker skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under significant time pressure.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume records where errors can have operational or commercial consequences.
- Strong confidentiality, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Relevant Experience
Candidates with experience in VIP, corporate, sponsor, hospitality, or controlled event ticket allocations will be preferred.
General experience in event operations, ticket sales, box office/customer service, ushering, accreditation, hospitality operations, or event staffing will not be considered directly relevant unless accompanied by hands-on responsibility for ticket inventory control and reconciliation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Candidates with highly relevant specialist ticketing experience may also be considered.
Additional Requirements
- Currently based in Qatar with a valid QID/Residence Permit.
- Ability to provide an NOC, where required, for the duration of the assignment.
