Job Description/Specification:


We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor – Automotive to support the execution of a risk-based Internal Audit strategy across financial, operational, compliance, and automotive technical processes. The role will conduct audits, compliance reviews, special investigations, and operational assessments in accordance with Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and Guidelines.

The successful candidate will combine strong internal audit expertise with hands-on automotive knowledge to assess service quality, operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, OEM requirements, HSES standards, and company policies across relevant locations.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit & Risk Management
  • Execute internal audits in line with the approved risk-based Internal Audit strategy.
  • Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and automotive process audits.
  • Complete assigned audit engagements within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform ad hoc audits and special reviews as requested by management, the Board, or Internal Audit leadership.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, uneconomic practices, control weaknesses, and potential risks.
  • Develop practical recommendations to improve controls, efficiency, compliance, and business performance.
Audit Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain audit working papers in accordance with IIA and Records Management requirements.
  • Prepare Internal Audit memoranda, reports, findings, recommendations, and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate audit evidence and document conclusions accurately.
  • Follow up on audit findings and support effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and internal audit communications.
Automotive Technical Audits
  • Lead audits and compliance assessments covering automotive technical and service processes.
  • Visit operational locations to assess vehicle service quality, workshop processes, technical standards, and operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate compliance with OEM requirements, regulatory standards, HSES requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify technical and operational risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assess automotive processes against established standards and performance objectives.
Systems, Data & Analytics
  • Use audit and automotive systems to support audit planning, testing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Work with platforms such as SAP, Power BI, TeamMate+, TMC Oasis, and other relevant systems.
  • Analyze operational and audit data to identify trends, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate audit records and evidence within relevant systems.
Technical Expertise & Collaboration
  • Maintain current knowledge of automotive technologies, service processes, and technical developments.
  • Provide automotive technical insights to the Internal Audit team.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, technical, finance, compliance, and management teams.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in automotive operations, technical services, internal audit, compliance, or related functions.
  • Automotive experience with Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) India, Toyota Philippines, or another Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) country entity is required.
