Job Description/Specification:
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking a Learning Design Specialist / Senior Specialist to support the development and enhancement of innovative learning solutions. The role focuses on creating engaging, learner-centric content aligned with business needs, adult learning principles, and behavioral science.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work with consultants, senior leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and client teams to design and deliver impactful learning experiences. This includes developing digital learning, instructor-led programs, simulations, masterclasses, micro-learning, and other scalable capability-building solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and continuously improve learning content based on business priorities and learner needs.
- Develop ILT, VILT, WBT, micro-learning, simulations, role plays, and digital learning modules.
- Translate complex business requirements and skill gaps into practical learning strategies.
- Apply instructional design, adult learning, and behavioral science principles.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, consultants, senior leaders, and external vendors.
- Manage learning design projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through prototyping and final delivery.
- Develop engaging digital content using e-learning, video editing, visual design, and generative AI tools.
- Create assessments, facilitator guides, enablement materials, videos, infographics, and other learning resources.
- Review and enhance learning materials to ensure quality, consistency, accuracy, and learner impact.
- Support curriculum standardization and customization across different programs and markets.
Minimum Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in instructional design or learning design.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning and learning science.
- Experience designing curricula, assessments, and learner journeys.
- Experience developing ILT, VILT, WBT, micro-learning, and social learning.
- Strong content review and quality assurance skills.
- Experience working with SMEs, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- International market experience is preferred.
- Consulting experience with client-facing or advisory projects is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI tools for learning and content development.
Technical Skills
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Experience with Slack, Trello, or similar collaboration and project management platforms.
- Familiarity with e-learning authoring, video editing, and visual design tools.
- Strong digital content development and presentation skills.
