Job Description/Specification:
Portworld Shipping is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pricing Executive to join its team in Qatar. The role is responsible for supporting freight pricing activities, preparing competitive quotations, coordinating with internal teams and carriers, and ensuring accurate and timely responses to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare freight rates, quotations, and pricing proposals for customers.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, agents, and internal teams to obtain competitive rates.
- Review customer requirements and recommend appropriate freight solutions.
- Maintain accurate pricing records and update rate sheets as required.
- Support the sales and operations teams with pricing and freight-related information.
- Monitor market rates and assist in maintaining competitive pricing.
- Ensure quotations are accurate, commercially viable, and submitted within deadlines.
- Follow established freight forwarding procedures and documentation requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in a pricing or commercial role.
- Good knowledge of freight rates, quotations, pricing, and shipping operations.
- Understanding of freight forwarding processes and documentation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
