Who Should Apply?
This role is best suited to a hospitality professional who has already worked in luxury resorts, five-star hotels, villa operations, or butler-style guest services.
You should be comfortable taking responsibility, coordinating multiple departments, and remaining composed when dealing with demanding guest situations. The strongest candidates will combine attention to detail with practical leadership rather than relying solely on administrative management.
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
Success in this role requires more than hotel experience. You will need strong team leadership, guest recovery, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Operational awareness is equally important. Understanding how housekeeping, engineering, food and beverage, front office, and guest relations work together will help you resolve issues quickly and maintain a seamless villa experience.
How to Stand Out
Your CV should clearly show your luxury hospitality background rather than simply listing general hotel duties.
Highlight experience with:
- Villa, butler, or private guest services.
- VIP arrivals and personalized guest experiences.
- Team supervision and staff training.
- Opera PMS or other hotel systems.
- Guest complaint resolution and service recovery.
- Cross-department operational coordination.
Where possible, include measurable achievements such as improved guest satisfaction scores, team size managed, service-quality results, or successful operational improvements.
Interview Preparation
Expect questions around practical hotel operations, such as:
- How would you prepare a villa for a VIP arrival?
- How would you handle a dissatisfied luxury-resort guest?
- How do you manage Villa Hosts during a busy period?
- How would you coordinate a maintenance issue immediately before check-in?
- How do you maintain consistent service standards across a team?
Prepare specific examples from your previous hospitality experience using a clear situation → action → result structure.
Career Growth
This position can provide a strong pathway toward roles such as Villa Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, Guest Relations Manager, or broader Rooms Division management, depending on performance and experience.
