Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking a Tendering / Proposal Engineer to support the preparation and submission of technical and commercial tenders for engineering projects in Qatar, particularly within the Oil & Gas and EPC sectors. The role requires strong analytical and coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tender requirements within strict deadlines.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will review tender documents, coordinate with technical and commercial teams, support cost estimation, and prepare complete and competitive proposals. This is an on-site position in Qatar and is best suited to an engineer with 2–4 years of relevant tendering, proposal, or estimation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications, scopes, and submission requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for engineering projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, estimation, and commercial teams to collect required information.
- Support quantity take-offs, cost estimation, pricing, and proposal development.
- Ensure tender submissions are complete, accurate, and submitted within deadlines.
- Track clarifications, amendments, and additional tender requirements.
- Follow up with relevant stakeholders throughout the tender process.
- Maintain organized records of tenders, proposals, quotations, and supporting documents.
- Assist in developing competitive and commercially sound proposals.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in tendering, proposals, estimation, or related engineering functions.
- Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Candidates must be currently based in Qatar.
Preferred Experience
- Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Exposure to EPC, engineering, or industrial projects.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of technical and commercial tender requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
