Hakkasan Doha is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the restaurant operation and uphold the standards of one of the world's recognised luxury dining brands.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the restaurant's overall performance, including guest experience, financial results, operational standards, and team development. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial awareness with a hands-on leadership style and a genuine understanding of luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will take ownership of the restaurant's day-to-day operation while ensuring that Hakkasan's service and brand standards are consistently maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the complete restaurant operation, with accountability for service, financial performance, team culture, and operational results.
- Maintain exceptional hospitality standards across every stage of the guest experience.
- Create a personalised and consistent experience for guests while maintaining the restaurant's luxury positioning.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the management and restaurant teams.
- Set clear performance expectations and encourage continuous professional development.
- Drive revenue and profitability through effective commercial planning.
- Manage labour costs, operational expenses, and overall cost control.
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, atmosphere, maintenance, and restaurant presentation.
- Work with corporate teams on marketing campaigns, brand activations, events, and business development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, licensing conditions, labour regulations, and company policies.
- Respond quickly to operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a General Manager within a luxury, high-volume hospitality environment, preferably with experience in the Middle East.
Candidates should demonstrate strong operational and commercial knowledge, including experience managing busy restaurant operations, large teams, staffing requirements, costs, and revenue performance.
The role would suit a leader who can remain highly involved in daily operations while also taking a strategic view of the restaurant's long-term performance.
